Drones, AI and EMS: How New Technologies Can Save Lives

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

What is the role of the newest of the new technologies in EMS? We have access to artificial intelligence, drones and smartphones--but do we know the best ways to use them? Join this international panel as they discuss some of the applications:

Corti Labs in Denmark has pioneered a way for artificial intelligence to be used during dispatch--how can this technology help recognize patients in cardiac arrest?
Butterfly Labs has received FDA approval for an ultrasound device that connects to your smartphone and uses artificial intelligence to read the scan.
Mike Nolan in Canada is in the process of using drones for EMS when lifesaving equipment needs to get to the scene quickly.
Finally, Gene Saunders, with Project Lifesaver, will present the community-based nonprofit organization that provides law enforcement, fire/rescue, and caregivers with a program designed to protect and quickly locate people with cognitive disorders who are prone to wandering. This session will provide an overview of the program as well as the introduction and use of our tracking drone to locate individuals and safely bring them home.
