Top 10 EMS Myths

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Was everything you were taught in paramedic school a lie?  Kevin, an active paramedic and long time educator, and Sean, an EM physician and past paramedic, will bust some of the most common myths out there.  Do you need to start an IV on everyone?  How about treating cardiac asthma?  Do orthostatic vital signs work?  Do you even know how correctly perform them?  What about oxygen for chest pain? Should we use medications for cardiac arrest?  Even more topics include hemostatic dressings, transport and response times, managing tension pneumothorax, flail chest, and sucking chest wounds, permissive hypotension, fluid resuscitation, bleeding control, TXA. We will answer these questions with evidence-based facts that you can bring home to your agency.
