Mentoring has long been a tradition in the medical profession, yet it is an underutilized tool in the EMS arsenal. Many EMS providers feel stagnated and leave the field, taking their passion and skills with them to benefit another industry. Mentoring can inspire providers' passion for EMS again. This presentation will discuss the mentoring relationship and expectations of both the mentor and mentee. Benefits of having a mentor for the individual EMS provider and how to find one will also be reviewed.
