With budgets being cut and reimbursement falling, we must find a better way to train our crews to respond to a myriad of emergencies. Using human patient simulation can bridge to gap from school to the streets by teaching foundational skills as well as complex high-risk maneuvers with added benefits as being able to reproduce each aspect of the scenario consistently. Simulation based skills validation is a cost-effective, high yield exercise that should be in every system's rotation.
