The dawn of a new era of healthcare delivery systems begs for innovative models to couple with the light-speed advances in medical technology. EMS is perfectly positioned but, in many cases, less than perfectly poised to integrate into and support the future of healthcare delivery in the ACO environment.  Forward-thinking insight by federal and state leaders, as well as progressive thinking in specific well-positioned EMS agencies, will guide us into the future.
