EMS World Expo 2018

We all say that a leadership training academy would be a great thing for our department but so often in EMS it never happens.  Some send new leaders to an outside program, but does that really prepare them how to do the job in your own agency?  This course will discuss how to set up your own leadership training academy and what are some key components to  consider about the course outline.  We will discuss the importance of integration of different departments when training your new leaders and the benefits of creating a program that requires hands on approach of those who are attending.  We will go into some of the obstacles you may face during the development and where to find resources to help ensure success of the program.
