Mass Gathering Events pose many unique challenges for EMS agencies and can place significant strain on EMS resources. Recent attention has again spotlighted the need for preparedness for both intentional and intentional mass casualty situations. This interactive discussion will provide an overview of mass gathering preparedness, review several case studies in Mass Gathering Medicine, as well as strategies for helping to ensure readiness for large numbers of casualties.
