Integrating Mental Health Awareness into Department Life

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

First responder mental health has gained much needed attention in recent years due to high rates of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suicide. Join us for a discussion on how stress affects first responders and how department culture not only has an impact on provider well-being, but also patient care. Gain insight into some of the factors associated with burnout, stress, and overall mental fatigue.  We will take a look into the current research, including data from the CrewCare project. Leave with an understanding of resources available to help manage your personal well-being and how to influence the culture within your department.
