We have changed the way we do business, but how did we succeed in getting buy-in from our EMS providers? Challenges to making these types of sweeping changes have been significant especially in the realm of culture change. Learn how leaders can overcome these and other challenges encountered in significant changes such as these. Using continuous review of data and being ever-vigilant is a key factor in this process. From defibrillation to epi administration to intubation and ventilation and transport decisions, the department instituted new protocols that are leading to big improvements in the rates of ROSC and survival for a number of cardiac arrest patients.
