Jimm Dodd is the Manager of Trauma Systems Programs with The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT). He is currently assigned as the manager for the national Stop the Bleed program and staff liaison to the National Association of EMT’s. A retired medical officer from the US Army, Jimm deployed multiple times in support of the Global War on Terrorism in both Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq and Kuwait). He served as a medical officer commanding combat hospitals in multiple theaters of operation. He was selected to work on a special task force developing procedures and policies for the integration of Army medicine into State and Local disaster response. He also served on various committees developing initiatives for returning Veterans who were transitioning into civilian careers, creating programming to facilitate their transition. Jimm has served as a NREMT- P, flight medic, an independent duty medic, and an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant, during his medical career. Jimm received the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medals.
